APPLICATION CONDITIONS

The following basic conditions must be met for Malta residence permit application:

General Requirements:
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Clean criminal record
  • Sufficient financial resources
  • Health insurance
  • Accommodation certificate in Malta
Real Estate Investment:
  • Purchase of real estate worth at least €300,000 on Malta mainland or €250,000 in Gozo/South Malta
  • Alternatively: Annual rent payment of €12,000 on Malta mainland or €10,000 in Gozo/South Malta
Financial Contribution:
  • Government contribution: €28,000 for property purchase, €58,000 for rental
  • Administrative fees and application costs

APPLICATION PROCESS

The Malta residence permit application process is usually completed within 4-6 months:

  2. Document Preparation: Collection and preparation of all required documents
  3. Property Selection: Finding or renting suitable property
  4. Application: Submission of official application to Malta authorities
