WHAT IS THE START-UP VISA PROGRAM?

Canada Start-up Program is for immigrant entrepreneurs who want to establish a business in Canada using their talent and potential. This program is;

• Innovative,
• Provides employment opportunities for Canadians,
• Competitive on a global scale.

From the perspective of the Federal Government, entrepreneurs who own a promising company and have received a letter of support can apply for Start-up immigration (PR) status as shareholders.

You can participate in this program in two ways;

1) You may have an innovative business idea and IF YOU WANT to execute this idea in Canada,

or

2) You CAN BE a partner of at least 10% in a project that you believe will be promising in Canada.

The investment amount for start-up ventures MAY VARY depending on the project content.

START-UP PARTICIPANT IMMIGRANT CANDIDATE PREREQUISITES

• Sufficient English language proficiency 5≥IELTS (5 and above - intermediate level), (CLB 5)
• Cash assets sufficient to participate in a start-up project,
• Resume compatible with the project

LIMITED CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS AFTER IMMIGRATION (PR)

• All citizenship rights are enjoyed except the right to vote and be elected.
• One has the right to work in the job of one's choice or to invest in the job of one's choice.
• Free health, education and retirement rights are enjoyed.
• One has the right to enter and exit Canada unlimited.

According to current practice;

• To maintain immigration status (PR), one must live in Canada for a total of 2 years in the 5 years after entering the country, or
• For citizenship application, one must live in Canada for 1095 days in the last 5 years.
